Garmin nüMaps Lifetime Map Update for North America ReviewThe only drawback to this is that it takes time. About two hours to download @ 2.6mps DSL and approximately another two hours to install. The size of the file was 2.02 GB. If you are on Dial-up, forget it. You don't have to attend the download, but you do need to be present at the install to click I agree and OK a few times. Once it is installed, everything worked with no hitches of any kind. While I haven't used it on the road yet, I was able to determine there was substantial updates in the data file for all of the various type things that you might be looking for, i.e., restaurants, service stations, etc.
All of my old settings remained the same, recently found items remained the same, etc. What you are purchasing from Amazon is the product key and you then go to the Garmin site and download the software. Compatible Products This map update can only be used to update the preloaded maps that came installed on your Garmin device. For example, a Garmin GPS device preloaded with North America maps only cannot be updated with a nuMaps Lifetime Europe Map Update, and vice versa.

What's Included nuMaps lifetime map update for North America online map code

Note: A nuMaps Lifetime subscription entitles you to receive up to four (4) map data updates per year, when and as such updates are made available on Garmin's website, for one (1) compatible Garmin product until your product's useful life expires or Garmin no longer receives map data from its third party supplier, whichever is shorter. Your nuMaps Lifetime subscription may not be transferred to another person or another Garmin product. A nuMaps Onetime purchase entitles you to receive one (1) map data update for one (1) compatible Garmin product. The update(s) you receive under the nuMaps Lifetime subscription or nuMaps Onetime purchase (as applicable) will be update(s) to the same geographic map data originally included with your Garmin product when originally purchased. In some instances, your Garmin product might not have sufficient memory remaining for you to load an update to the same map data originally included with your Garmin product, in which case you will need to either (a) select reduced map data coverage for your update(s), or (b) purchase separately a microSD card or a SD card (as applicable to your Garmin product) and load all or a portion of the map data coverage for your update(s) to the card and insert the card into the SD card or microSD card slot contained in your Garmin product.
