Cake Mania: Main Street ReviewAnother Cake Mania game! This is a fun game, with a little spin. Instead of strictly baking cakes all the time, you get to run a bakery, a burger shop, a sushi shop, and a flower shop. You also get to be different characters this time, too...you aren't just Jill the whole time in this game. There is a little more to the story line and a lot more awards to win in this version of the Cake Mania series of games. It's a really fun game, but I like cake so I had to ding it a star for making the bakery level shorter (I don't care so much about the sushi or flowers). All in all, though it's a fun game.Cake Mania: Main Street Overview

Cake Mania: Main Street (JC) ReviewThis game is sooooo addictive! I've lost hours before... :) I like the fact that there are other types of games in it besides the cake decorating stuff (even though that's fun too). It's a great buy!Cake Mania: Main Street (JC) Overview

Cake Mania 2 ReviewWhen you first start playing you immediately start thinking about he game Diner Dash, but after a while you start thinking "no this game is totally different". The customers (of which there is a wide variety), will keep you on your toes. You have to make cakes, put on icing and a topping then give it to the customers, not to mention the double and triple layered cakes. While doing that you have to keep the customers happy and they range from a temperamental astronaut to a cake happy sumo wrestler (they love double portions) as well as some secret service men. You will also be able to purchase items that can benefit your business and your goal is to win all six trophies. Its a great game!!!Cake Mania 2 Overview

Cake Mania: Main Street ReviewThis is a great improvement over the other Cake Mania games. In this version, you have the Cake Shop as well as a flower shop, burger and sushi shop. Thats like 4 games for the price of 1! As you go along in the game, you can also upgrade the town, bringing in even more money. Plus your shops earn money even when you're not there. All in all, a great new game and highly addicting! I will say this though, the flower shop got a little too hard for me to keep up with, but aside from that the rest was challenging enough yet beatable.Cake Mania: Main Street Overview

Cake Mania ReviewThe purpose of the game is to make money buy baking and selling cakes. It's your mission in life because the 'big box' store were unfair competition and, by working hard, you will outcompete them.
The customers will order a specific shape and frosting and they will pay you once the product is delivered. You get a tip if you deliver the cake in a timely fashion or you may lose the customer if you make them wait for too long.
The cycle goes like this:
- hand over the menu
- the customer picks shape and frosting
- bake the requested shape
- apply the frosting
- hand it over to customer
- pick up the money
It gets pretty frantic once you have more than 2 customers waiting and you need to optimize and multitask. You are successful if you meet your dollar target by the end of the day. The pace gets increasingly frantic as the game progresses.
That's just about it.
I can't say that the game has a high replay value and, unless someone is absolutely determined to run through the same repetitive cycle at a frantic pace, the motivation to advance is not that great.
On the good side, the graphics are okay in a cartoon/comics-style way. I'm afraid there's not much else to say. I don't believe I will play this game again. In fact, since neither my 6 yr. girl or my tween boys expressed any interest in it, I will probably uninstall it. Which, by the way, it's okay because I can always get it back from my Amazon-maintained downloads library.Cake Mania Overview

Cake Mania: Lights, Camera, Action ReviewSince people might be considering d/ling this game, I think it's fair to put a review here letting people know that this game has a history of freezing at the loading screen/crashing with an error/freezing after the first introduction with Windows 7 users. Check BFG website's forum for this game, you'll see that a lot of people have complained about this error, which doesn't seem to be fixed as of the time of this review. Very disappointing.Cake Mania: Lights, Camera, Action OverviewReturn to Jill Evans'hometown of Bakersfield in Cake Mania: Lights, Camera, Action!, the highly anticipated fifth chapter in one of the most popular time management series of all-time!
