Microsoft Digital Image Suite 10.0 ReviewI bought this digital suite for the one thing it does exceptionally well. No fuss - no muss, this software makes beautiful slide shows with narration or music. There is very little personalization, very little choice in how the slide show plays out, but the pans and zooms are nicely done anyway.
Here's where the trick comes in -- it's advertised or somehow implied that the Photo Story can be burned onto a DVD to operate on most DVD players. Exactly what I wanted, but that doesn't seem to be the actual case. Unless I'm wrong (that DOES happen on occasion) the Photo Story only seems to burn onto video CDs. Makes for a short televised story, sadly.
So that's the caveat. It's good software, easy to operate, burns digital files to CD or DVD for archiving and does this extra lovely thing that the Adobe Album doesn't do in the Photo Story. But only three stars for the DVD failure. Five stars if it's there and I've somehow missed it.Microsoft Digital Image Suite 10.0 OverviewDigital Image Suite 10.0 offers photographers an expanded set of tools to meet your passion for digital photography. Roxio Toast 7 Titanium (Mac) ReviewI've used Toast since the early 90's, and this is by far the best version yet. I've always upgraded before to get nice little interface and usability upgrades, but this upgrade really is revolutionary for Toast. It takes a fantastic CD/DVD burner and adds some great totally new features:
1) Really good backup. Finally, I can backup chunks of data larger than 4.7 GB. The capacity of a standard DVD is about 4.7 GB, and I've always had to pick and choose which data to backup to fit it within that limit. But with the new Toast, they've added the ability to span a single backup across multiple DVDs. So, I can backup 10 GB, 20 GB, whatever. That's a great upgrade.
2) Easy movie DVD backup. They've added an easy, slick way to backup my movie DVDs to 4.7 GB DVD-+R. I've used the other conversion programs and they are very cumbersome. Toast makes it easy to do the conversion, and the quality is great. They worked with DivX to get the newest version of DivX that isn't even released yet for Mac.
CONCLUSION: There are many, many new reasons to upgrade to Toast 7. Overall, it's one of the best upgrades yet. I only wish they offered a better deal to upgraders. Other software let's upgraders pay about 30-40% of the full price, but Toast has recently done away with upgrades, and instead does a small mail-in rebate. Oh, well, they still get my money. :-)Roxio Toast 7 Titanium (Mac) OverviewNew Toast 7 is the best way to save, share and enjoy a lifetime of digital music, movies and photos on CD and DVD. Burn large files across multiple discs. Compress and copy DVD movies. Add over 50 hours of music to an audio DVD - with on-screen TV menus, shuffle play, and rich Dolby Digital sound. Turn DivX files into DVDs. Create stunning multi-image HD slideshows with collages, motion effects, titles and background soundtracks. Enjoy HD playback in your living room today! Do it all with the #1 burning software for the Mac OS.

System Suite 10 Professional ReviewSystemSuite was a great product when it was owned and run by VCOM - there was absolutely no better suite of tools to protect your computer.
But since Avanquest took over, the program's quality and features have started to slide dangerously downhill, and Avanquest would love it if you would crash at the bottom.
Remember those days when Symantec would deliberately discontinue antivirus definitions for a product in the hopes of scaring you into buying a new version? Well, Welcome to Avanquest! Once your version of SystemSuite is more than two or three years old, they will stop providing you with updated antivirus definitions. Oh, and THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU. That's right, Avanquest will DELIBERATELY leave your precious computer exposed to viruses. Sort of like not knowing your car's airbag doesn't work - until you look down and find yourself covered with blood.
Today, to celebrate the joy of this season of love and happiness, Avanquest discontinued antivirus updates for SystemSuite 7 & 8 and didn't tell anybody. Merry Christmas! Make sure you clean off the blood.
Yes, that's a program that is only TWO years old and is only TWO versions old. Don't bother begging for support from Avanquest - they want you to spend big $$$ on SystemSuite 10 (same name, but a totally different program) so that they can discontinue antivirus on you AGAIN two years from now! Imagine sitting down to Christmas dinner and the joy on your family's faces when you tell them that all their computers are now vulnerable. Imagine the yelling and the guilt they'll lay on you to buy them all new antivirus programs to replace the one you told them to trust. Imagine how much they won't trust you in the future. Imagine Avanquest's indifference.
Avanquest has two words for you this holiday season - and they aren't "Merry Christmas". It's a phrase synonymous with "Get Infected".

Windows Vista Ultimate with SP1 ReviewMicrosoft's latest operating system Vista, replaces Windows XP.
Vista comes in 5 different versions: 2 for businesses (Business and Enterprise) and 3 for home use (Basic, Premium, and Ultimate). The Basic addition is a really stripped down version that is intended to help keep the price of new lower end PCs down. The Premium version has almost all of the same features of Ultimate except for 4 major applications. These are:
Windows PC Backup - an image based backup program for restoring everything on your computer in the case of a hard disk failure.
Windows Fax and Scanning - an app that integrates scanning and faxing (you need a scanner and a fax modem).
Remote Desktop Connection -This lets someone else work remotely on your computer (or you work on theirs). RDC is used in businesses for Helpdesk techs to diagnose or fix software problems without running to the user's computer.
Bitlocker Encryption - This encrypts the data on your hard drive so that if someone steals your computer or drive, they can't read the data. This can be a very desirable feature if you have a laptop with business data on it. In Healthcare and Finance, not encrypting data can end up costing a company a lot of money and bad publicity.
If you don't need any of the above, I'd recommend you go with Premium and save some money.
Vista has better graphics and more integration with new multimedia devices (such as iPods, MP3 players, digital cameras, etc). The new look and feel is somewhere between XP and a Mac.
The one thing it doesn't do is recommend you stay with XP. If you want the best performance from your Pentium or Celeron based computer, stay with XP. Vista is slower than XP! To get the speed , you need lots of memory (2-4GB) and a dual or quad core processor. Also Vista will disable certain features (like screen transparency, called Aero) to try to keep the performance up.
Installing Vista is where Microsoft got it right. It installs in about half the time it took me to install XP. When it couldn't find drivers, Vista used generic drivers to get the system running.
I've been running different versions of Vista for about a year. I have yet to get a complete system lockup (blue screen). It`s very stable. But it can also be annoying. Whenever you go to do things, you get message boxes asking you if it's OK to do it. Then it might tell you that an administrator has to do it (even though you are an administrator account). It drives you nuts. However, it's easy to turn off. Go to the Help menu and search for "Turn off UAC" (User Access Control). There's a checkbox you uncheck to disable UAC. If you have multiple users set up on your computer, you need to do it for each one.
I like Vista, but in my opinion I wouldn't upgrade an existing computer unless I had a compelling reason (like needing encryption). The cost of the Vista upgrade plus any hardware upgrades could reach the cost of a low end dual core computer that is made for Vista. However, when I buy a new computer I would definitely get Vista.

Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 Upgrade ReviewThe beta version arrived at my house, was installed, and had lots of bells and whistles. Fancy colors, buttons, etc. However, I am not sure that the changes are worth the kind of cash proposed by Microsoft's suggested retail price. Word, Access and Excel are basically the same programs as XP, Powerpoint has a few nicer features (it always has had nice features), and Outlook does have some data management not previously available. As a small business operator, I have found it much easier to track business contacts, emails, etc. I also have a FrontPage designed website. The new FrontPage has a nifty "split" screen which allows you to look at your HTML coding along with the actual published page, both at the same time. The new FrontPage also makes general HTML tagging, coding, and changing much more user friendly. However, it suffers from the traditional Microsoft misery; namely, the online help is virtually useless. This is also true for Publisher. You will spend lots of frustrating moments with both of those programs.
...Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 Upgrade OverviewMicrosoft Office 2003 Professional, the hotly anticipated successor to Microsoft Office XP, brings even more enabling power to this cornerstone of productivity that helps users connect to the right people, information and processes throughout the world of business and ideas. A host of innovations make it easier for people to take effective action and get better results!

Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional ReviewDon't take my word for it that's a quote from the title of a recent post excoriating this irritating and increasingly bloated product on Slashdot.(1)
Be warned: Adobe has not learned its lesson, and despite the outcry that followed the release of version 6, this latest release of Acrobat continues Adobe's aggressive trend of intruding into your desktop environment, again, as in version 6 without providing an easy way to undo the damage once its done--in fact, it's now nearly impossible. Like earlier releases, this version of Acrobat adds startup macros and new toolbar buttons to your existing applications and adds menu entries to your desktop "right click" menus. Adobe argues that these are conveniences, but they are entirely unnecessary (for most of us "printing" to Adobe PDF achieves the same result, is much more convenient, and a more natural model), and clutter what for most users is either a too-crowded user interface (for those who don't have the knowledge or patience to customize it) or a carefully tuned one (for those who do). Unlike many well-behaved applications that provide obvious ways of avoiding this kind of intrusive and disruptive behavior (e.g. through a simple checkbox option in a settings dialog), Acrobat's "option" for disabling this behavior, once deeply hidden in the setup process,is now almost completely absent. To disable the "Convert to Adobe PDF" button that mysteriously appears in the Outlook mail editor, for example, one has to be sure to choose "this feature will not be available" from the "Microsoft Outlook" option under "Acrobat PDFMaker" under "Create Adobe PDF". Simply deleting the button using Outlook's toolbar customization feature will not work: it comes right back when the editor is next opened. Similar problems arise in Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and Internet Explorer. And there's simply no way to get rid of the never-used "Convert to Adobe PDF" and "Combine in Acrobat..." entries in that appear in the desktop context menus for files (even if one installs none of the Acrobat PDFMaker features).
For the technically inclined wishing to repair some of the damage that Acrobat 7 does, there are complex but largely effective step by step instructions available on the web(2), but even the authors of these are driven to despair by version 7: ("Adobe has really pushed the boat out with Acrobat 7 and managed to screw Word royally") .
In short, Acrobat will make a mess of your working environment, there's no way to completely fix it, and even the partial fix is a pain (and not well documented). (This may seem a minor issue, but if every application followed Adobe's reckless example, our working environments would start to look like strip malls, crowded with features screaming for our attention to the point where it is hard to find what we need when we need it. One of the great strengths of the personal computer desktop is that users can configure it in ways that suit their needs; no application should interfere with that.)
Experienced Acrobat users will also notice that this version continues another frustrating trend for Acrobat (and most other Adobe applications): it is yet again slower to launch than the previous version. In fact, on my 2 GHz Pentium 4, it takes longer to launch than the entire Visual Studio .NET development environment, and longer than the boot sequence for Windows XP!
There are other minor problems as well (arbitrary rearrangements of menu and tool bar items, etc.) but these two major flaws are more than bad enough. Unless you really need the latest Acrobat features, you should probably avoid this upgrade. And if the "improvements" in this release are any indication of where Adobe plans to go with future releases, it may be time to start looking elsewhere for a tool for digital document management.
Fortunately, there's no reason at all to upgrade. Version 7 offers no usefully new features, so you can (and should) avoid this one (at all costs).

Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit System Builder 1pk ReviewI bought this version because it was the best price and was in stock. The OEM version was easy to install. The 32 bit I feel was the best for drivers. It runs better than XP. Boots faster and is alot smarter. The learning curve has not been too bad not having seen Vista (glad I didn't) I would recommend it for Vista users to convert. Once the companies upgrade there software to better Accomodate Window 7, it will be even better. Vista driver seem to work well, as do some of the XP drivers. I ran the Beta (free) version before I made this decision.Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit System Builder 1pk OverviewUpgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate. Windows 7 Ultimate is the most versatile and powerful edition of Windows 7. It combines remarkable ease-of-use with the entertainment features of Home Premium and the business capabilities of Professional, including the ability to run many Windows XP productivity programs in Windows XP Mode. For added security, you can encrypt your data with BitLocker and BitLocker To Go. And for extra flexibility, you can work in any of 35 languages. Get it all with Windows 7 Ultimate.

Upgrade to Windows 7 All editions of Windows XP and Windows Vista qualify you to upgrade.
1. Choose your edition of Windows 7 Explore key features and choose the edition that's best for you. Be sure to check the expanded list of extended features in Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional, and Windows 7 Ultimate. System requirements vary for each edition of Windows 7 because some features might require special hardware.

2. See if your PC has what it takes to run Windows 7 In general, if your PC can run Windows Vista it can run Windows 7. To make sure, download and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to do a quick check. If you want certain features, such as HomeGroup or Windows Media Center, check to see if your PC has the hardware that's needed.

3. Check which operating system your PC is currently running How you make the move to Windows 7 depends on your current operating system.

Windows Vista The transition to Windows 7 should be pretty smooth, although you may need to update your system to the latest service pack first.
Windows XP (or any other operating system) We recommend that you experience Windows 7 on a new PC. While we don't recommend it, you can opt to upgrade your current PC from Windows XP or another operating system to Windows 7. We recommend that you get help with this process from your local computer service provider. You'll need to back up your current files and settings, perform a custom (clean) installation, and then reinstall your files, settings, and programs.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 Preferred ReviewThe original title of my review was going to be "snookered again," but I've since had a change of heart (and sound card). I originally purchased Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 4 years ago which was a total piece of junk. Upon hearing a short review on NPR, it sounded like things had improved.
First off, caveat emptor. You need a good sound card. Nuance is not very helpful here. Their website/docs simply state you need a Sound Blaster 16. I don't know if it's occurred to them you can't purchase a Sound Blaster 16 card anymore (nor would you want to), and they should just bite the bullet and present a list of cards that work well (like they do for microphones). I bought a Sound Blaster X-fi XtremeMusic which seems to work. Second, you need a hefty machine. For me this is a 2.4 GHz dual processor XP workstation with a gig of RAM. The box says you can get by with 512 MB of RAM and a 1 GHz processor, I'm not sure I believe this.
Once you have the right hardware in place the software seems to work fairly well. This review was dictated using the software. However, I'm not giving them five stars because they still seem to suffer from poor software engineering. As an example, take the set up and training process. I was waiting for a new sound card to arrive and thought I would try using my onboard sound card built into my Dell. The setup process did claim that the sound quality was insufficient. Unfortunately, navigating out of the process was impossible leaving me stuck at the "welcome to general training" screen. When the new sound card arrived, Dragon was still stuck looking at the on board sound system and had no UI to allow me to use the new sound card. My only solution was to disable the onboard sound system which luckily forced Dragon back into configuration mode where I could reselect my microphone parameters. A second example of amateur software development was an error message ("can't load compatibility module") that is caused by Dragon's attempt to build a link between icons on the desktop and voice commands. This message wouldn't be so bad if it were not accompanied by random crashes ("dragon is unable to respond, please close all applications using..."). A recently posted knowledge base article states that the error message only comes up if links are invalid on the desktop, and suggest removing things using RegEdit (I kid you not). After uninstalling a SonyEricsson desktop link that I wasn't using, the message went away along with the random crashes.
In summary, Dragon has matured from snake-oil ware (v4) to usable. However, they need to make an investiment in the non-voice rec modules of their software.

This should specify boldly in product details that this is a SYSTEM BUILDER PACK ONLY....... Do not buy this if you are planning to just install on a system that you purchased or a pre built system. I contacted customer service and they were not aware of it so I contacted Microsoft and Microsoft stated "return the disc to the company, you can not use it unless you are a system builder". Waited the shipping time and everything for this to install it on a family members machine and now we are stuck waiting again.
Amazon customer service was on the ball in terms of trying their best to get this resolved. They have managed to get me set up for an expedited refund and an expedited solution. I am crossing my fingers that this time it is what I needed.

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 - Full Version ReviewIf you're reading this. You're thinking of buying Windows XP home edition here are a few things to keep in mind.
First thing is, you might be able to get away with buying just the upgrade edition. The upgrade edition allows you to do a full install. It just asks you for the CD of a previous version of Windows. Also remember you can download service pack two from the Windows update web site. So no need to buy it integrated with XP.
These are what I consider the minimum system requirements:
256 MB of RAM. I have found is adequate more equals better.
500 MHz or higher will do.
7200 rpm hard drive will help a lot.
If you're running Windows millennium edition, or 98 upgrade now the stability is vastly improved. Gone are the blue screens of death.
Frequently asked question: is Windows XP Pro better than home edition?
Windows XP Pro has a more high-end networking features that most home users will never miss or would even know were missing. So for most users Windows home edition is fine. They both are based on the same code and are almost identical.
If you're thinking of upgrading from Windows 2000, I did, because I like the GUI interface better. But Windows XP is as stable as Windows 2000. So it's your call.
The plug-and-play ability of Windows XP is totally great! Windows XP will by default find most drivers for video card sound cards, network cards, etc. that is such a bonus gone in the days of having to search for CDs with drivers.
I recommend upgrading to Windows XP be it professional or home edition. It is a great operating system
Have some fun and get it doneMicrosoft Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 - Full Version OverviewWith Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2, you get safer browsing and communication, powerful security tools, and improved experiences. Packed with multimedia features, Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 aims to unlock the full potential of your personal computer. It also looks great, with rounded window corners, larger and more detailed icons, and a clean-look desktop.

For Web browsing, XP Home comes with Internet Explorer 6.0 and MSN Explorer. The most significant new feature for Internet users is the built-in firewall. A firewall protects against one of the most disturbing security risks, in which other users unknown to you might connect to your computer while it is online, reading private files or causing other damage. XP's built-in firewall is a simple affair, but it does prevent most types of unauthorized connections.

Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Upgrade ReviewThis is an excellent product for the high-end graphic artist. In case you are not sure if this is the right upgrade for you, this product will upgrade from the full versions of Photoshop 4 and higher. Note that this product WILL NOT work with Photoshop Elements or Photoshop LE, as these are less thourough versions of Photoshop.Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Upgrade OverviewMixed-media professionals such as photographers, Web designers, andgraphic designers will not be disappointed in Adobe's latest incarnation ofPhotoshop. Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Standard ReviewI am an instructor for Dragon NaturallySpeaking, but I do not work for Nuance.com. I work for a healthcare software company. I primarily deal with the medical editions used by Pathologists in clinical laboratories.
Here are some pointers for those who have not used Dragon, but are thinking of purchasing.
1. Don't skimp on a headset. Visit Nuance.com. Click on Support > Hardware Compatibility List > Dragon NaturallySpeaking > Headset Microphones Current. While it is possible to use a wireless microphone, if you are just starting out, go with a wired, such as a Plantronics DSP-400 (Amazon has this headset for $[...]. It seems cheap, but it is a very good headset). If you can hook the headset up via USB instead of mic in, you will get better recognition accuracy. Additionally, you don't need an internal sound card if you are connecting via USB as the headset comes with its own external sound card.
A good wireless headset will be expensive, and they do not have as good of recognition accuracy as a wired headset.
2. Once you have your headset, connect it to the PC, and install Dragon. It is a straightforward install.
3. You will have to go through an audio and quality check, and then go into General Training. I recommend doing one of the easier readings. You can always go back through and do additional general training. My BIGGEST piece of advice here is speak with your normal voice. Some of my students seem to want to over enunciate, or speak with a different voice during general training. That is only going to set you up for a difficult time when you begin dictating.
4. After your general training, I highly recommend going through the Tutorials. You should be given an option to do this after your general training. If not, you can get to them through the Help Menu on the Dragon bar.
Note: At some point, you will be given the option of having Dragon scan your email and documents. Nuance recommends this, but I don't. You can always have it scan your documents later via the accuracy center. Additionally, I never recommend letting Dragon scan your email. What it is going to do with these actions, is to learn your writing style. Rather than letting DNS do this at setup, move a bunch of documents you have written to one folder, go to the Accuracy Center, and let DNS scan the entire folder.
4. Dragon has some shortcut keys. The number keypad + key is used to turn your mic on and off. The number keypad / key is used to put your mic to sleep, and wake it up. You can go to Tools > Options to change shortcut keys.
5. Remember that while you can do a lot with Dragon, you will find that your best usage comes with using Dragon, the keyboard and the mouse.
6. Set up some Custom Commands. Visit [...] to learn how to set up Custom Commands. There is a book by Larry V. Allen called Scripting for Dragon NaturallySpeaking that will help you out with Advanced Scripts.
7. When you begin dictating, Dragon WILL make some mistakes. It does not help if you yell at your microphone. You will have to continue to train your profile as time goes. If Dragon makes a mistake, resist the urge to delete the mistake and start over. I use this analogy with my students. Think of it as a new puppy. If a puppy makes a mistake, you don't get rid of it (at least you shouldn't), you should correct its mistake. The same goes for Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Use the command "Select That" to have DNS highlight the word, and bring up a menu of possible alternate choices. If the correct word is not there, use the command "Spell That" and then spell the word such as: a m a z o n
8. My last tip concerns the Acoustic and Language Model Optimizer. You can get to it through the Accuracy Center, or the Start Menu. Run that after about two weeks of use, and again on a monthly basis. This will fine tune your profile with all corrections and training.
Enjoy Dragon NaturallySpeaking. It is a great piece of software.Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Standard OverviewTurn talk into text with speech recognition software!Product InformationWith Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Standard you can talk to your computer and watch your spoken words instantly appear in documents email and instant messages. Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade with SP2 ReviewIf you're reading this. You want to upgrade, your old computer to Windows XP home edition here are a few things to keep in mind.
256 MB of RAM. I have found is adequate more equals better.
500 MHz or higher will do.
That's about all I can think of this is a recommended upgrade for me
Have some fun and get it doneMicrosoft Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade with SP2 OverviewWith Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2, you get safer browsing and communication, powerful security tools, and improved experiences.

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade - Old Version ReviewI installed Windows XP Upgrade on my home computer to replace my current ME operating system, but have now uninstalled it. My advice is, if your current operating system is basically satisfactory, don't make the move to Windows XP unless you've made sure your older programs and hardware are compatible with XP and there is some feature you feel you really, really must have.
In the words of the XP instruction manual, "The Windows XP Setup program will automatically check the hardware and software already installed on your computer for potential conflicts." "Potential conflicts" is a nice way of saying that certain programs and hardware items may not work well or at all with XP, because it wants digital signatures, updated drivers or more.
In my case, during the installation process, XP informed me that "Setup has detected that some hardware or programs on your computer might not function correctly after the upgrade is completed. This lack of functionality can have an effect on things you might want to do, such as connecting to the Internet, accessing e-mail, printing, scanning, and playing sounds or music." (Wow, aren't those the things that most people use their computers for?)
After I completed the XP installation (which proved to be a very simple process), I did in fact encounter considerable difficulty with a number of software and hardware items. As examples, XP was extremely cranky about accepting my cable modem and I could not get my printer to work at all, even after I downloaded a new driver from the manufacturer's website. (Solution - buy a new printer?) The XP installation also rendered my Norton Antivirus 2004 software inoperable, a problem which the Norton website recognized but had no solution for. I also faced problems with my CD creation and digital camera software as well the Outlook Express email software.
I want to stress that all of these problems have solutions, but I eventually hit the wall "installation fatigue." It just seemed that, every time I got a problem solved, two more would pop up - so I just gave up and uninstalled XP. I concluded that what I had seen on my computer screen so far in terms of new features simply did not outweigh the problems I was experiencing and the potential cost of new programs and hardware that would be compatible with XP.
My main point here is that there is a lot of hype about the advantages of XP but no one tells buyers that it may cost you 4 or 5 times as much to replace hardware and software that is not compatible with XP, and that you may have to spend hours at problem-solving in order to get your computer functioning. Microsoft has a web link at www.microsoft.com/windows/catalog/ that is supposed to provide information on whether your applications and hardware are "XP-ready." This should be put in at least ½ inch bright orange letters on the box so that purchasers will notice it and check BEFORE they tear open that shrink-wrap and lose the right to return the product for a refund.Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade - Old Version OverviewWindows XP Home Edition gives you the freedom to experience more than you ever thought possible with your computer and the Internet. This is the operating system home users have been waiting for because it offers serious speed and serious stability, so you can have serious fun.

Parallels Desktop Upgrade to Windows 7 ReviewParallels Desktop Upgrade to Windows 7 was a disaster for me.
Many of my key applications were not transferred at all. Worse
still, many applications seemed half transferred. What a mess!
Once it scrambles your system, there's no going back!
Tech support was off-shore and was not any to help. Within
moments they were trying to convenience me that this was the
fault of the third party applications and I therefore needed
to pay them more money for support. I was on hold with tech
support for 60 minutes before I got the brush off. They
then sent me a message saying there is NO REFUND.
You are MUCH better off avoiding this product and just
installing what you need to under a clean Windows 7 installation.

Windows 7 Home Premum 64 Bit System Builder 1pk ReviewAs background, I'm a heavy personal computer user but certainly not a techie. I'm an insurance and real estate broker in Houston, TX. I would rate my technical knowledge as medium.
I bought the 64-bit builder pack to install on a new MacBook Pro. Followed the Apple Boot Camp instructions and was up and running in less than an hour. Couldn't have been easier. Love the MacBook Pro but one critical business web site only supports IE Explorer and several others have issues with Safari (plus Chrome, Firefox and others as well). The builder pack has all the features and is sold for a clean install on a new computer. It was exactly what I needed.
Running both Windows7 and Snow Leopard for me is the only way to go. There's some keyboard differences but nothing significant. I may try Parallels 5.0 down the road but Boot Camp works fine for now.Windows 7 Home Premum 64 Bit System Builder 1pk OverviewWindows 7 Home Premium makes it easy to create a home network and share all of your favorite photos, videos, and music. Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack (3-User) ReviewThis is the most cost-effective way of purchasing Windows 7 if you have more than one PC to install it on. The earlier prices was around $112 but over time the price has increased but it is still the best bargain out there if you going to get Windows 7. It comes with both 32 and 64-bit versions. Pay attention to the fact that this is an upgrade and not the "new PC" version that you may be accustomed to. This means that you have to have an installed version of Windows Vista or XP for this to run.Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack (3-User) Overview
